How to create your first 3D floor-plan project
- Upload your plans. Add one drawing for each floor. Give the floors clear names and put them in order from ground level upwards.
- Inspect the draft. Compare each 3D preview with its drawing. Review the walls, doors and windows—the first model is a starting point for your review.
- Add the floor surface. Trace the building’s outside corners in order. If edges cross, correct the highlighted outline before continuing.
- Match the drawing scale. Mark a distance you know and enter its real measurement. This gives the model a reference for size and helps different floors line up consistently.
- Add your aesthetics. Place and adjust furniture, storage, plants and outdoor features. Try a different arrangement to help explain how you would use the property.
- Clean up the 3D model. Review possible stray lines before removing them. A suggested outside line can still be a real wall, especially if the outline needs adjusting.
- Stack and explore. Choose the same two building points on each floor, check the floor-to-floor height and view the floors together. Use an individual-floor or split view to look more closely.
